Sixteen days crossing Kyrgyzstan from one range to the next, from the Tien Shan to the
Pamir, sleeping in yurts and in the herders’ camps. Then you go up: to Camp 1 on Peak
Lenin, and onto Yukhin Peak, 5,130 metres.
It is the same approach I did myself before climbing Lenin, and it is the best way I
know to see those mountains without having to climb all of them.
