Peak Lenin, 7,134 metres
Twenty-two days in Kyrgyzstan, three summits, and the top reached on the night of 22 July after leaving the last camp at two in the morning.
The expedition ran from 6 to 27 July 2024. Base camp at 3,600 metres, reached by 4x4 after six hours on the track from Bishkek.
Then the climb, a piece at a time: Camp 1 on 11 July, Yukhin Peak (5,130 m) on the 12th, Razdelnaya Peak (6,148 m) on the 16th. On the 20th Camp 2, between 5,300 and 5,400 metres; on the 21st Camp 3 at 6,100. On the 22nd we set off at around two in the morning and reached the summit, at 7,134 metres.
Peak Lenin is one of the five Snow Leopard seven-thousanders. For me it was the proof that the next step — an eight-thousander — is something you can talk about seriously.
